Watercolor vs digital illustration — which one is right for you?

Watercolor is unpredictable. Two strokes that look identical on day one will dry differently on day three. That unpredictability is exactly what makes it feel human — and exactly what makes it harder to scale.
Digital illustration is consistent. You can resize, recolor, reprint, and never lose fidelity. But it takes real care to make it feel like it has a soul.
Pick watercolor when: the piece is small, personal, and printed once or twice (wedding invites, monograms, gifts).
Pick digital when: the piece will live on screens, get resized, or printed at scale (logos, social-media kits, packaging).
We do both, and often mix them — a digital base with watercolor accents is the sweet spot for most brand work.
